Sometimes we find ourselves in situations always trying to fix things. Fix the person you are with, fix the situation, all in order to have complete control.
Our need to fix a person, situation, or moment is because when we fix things we fix it to our liking. We are finding someone or something and saying, you are not enough so you must change to my liking in order for this to work.
We do it so often with the person we love. We try to fix and change them. You are trying to take a puzzle piece and change its shape so it can be a piece to fit into your world.
However we all know how this goes. Soon the other person resents you or gives up on the whole situation.
The truth is when you are trying to change someone other than yourself, you are saying that they are not perfect & that simply is not true. Every person is created perfect and when you fail to see that they are perfect as they are, you are denying them God.
God created us all perfect and loves us in every moment for the perfection we are.
Changing something outside of you is simply getting in Gods way. I found that if you are in Gods way of working through something or someone, the chances are that you will most likely find that thing or person gone.
God knows your hearts desires so there is no need for fixing. It is all perfectly perfect and the way it is meant to be.
What is the key in all this? Patience. Being patient enough to trust and know that God will not disappoint you. He is working all things out and one must get out of our own selfish wants and needs so that God can work for us.
I know how hard it is when you go through an argument with a loved one. When you are in a relationship and you are just so scared of trusting that person.
Its hard to trust an individual when you have seen them say the same things before many times that never carried truth but you cant let the fear of doubt hold you back.
If you doubt all that you wish to believe in then you will never obtain what God has planned for you, which is something better than you can ever imagine.
So if you know you love someone, something and it drives you with a wild fire. Have faith in knowing it will work out.
Have faith in knowing that people do change.
Have patience.
Let down the need to fix and accept what is.
Get to know God and what He is showing you. He wants you to have a life filled with all the wonders He has to offer but he can’t do that if you are doubting him in every present moment.
