On Your Journey of Change to Transformation

My relationship to change is very present now.

I unknowingly started embarking on this path in my early 20’s.

What I was doing was not common, very difficult & was what I like to call my “initiation” period.

What was I doing?

I was embarking on a path of change.

I recall being gifted a book called “The Buddha in the Mirror” & as I was reading the book, something was shifting within me. From that point forward I was reading self-development books like no other.

I dived head first into all these difficult disciplines such as running a 1/2 marathon, doing a 16 day lemon detox, going vegan, hiking regularly to build my endurance so that I could accelerate my gym performance, competing in bikini body building … these were all things that were radical because no one around me was doing it & I had to forge my own path through it.

No one was forcing me to do any of this, I just started doing it because it was different and there was something to be explored in this difference.

My life at that time was not serving me in any way and subconsciously I knew that something had to change.

I say subconsciously because on the surface it looked like my life was fine. There really wasn’t anything that needed to change if I didn’t want it to but the version of me today was pulling me towards something better & I was unknowingly following it, I guess you could say that a higher guidance was driving it from within me.

on Dec. 7th 2018 my life transformed & the old version of myself completely died all in one moment.

The heavy veils that were covering my eyes lifted & I could clearly see life, Spirit & all things that were strong holds (chains) broke off.

This is where I would love to share with you a few things about changing & how one reaches full transformation.

First I want to clarify what transformation is (in my own words with what I have experienced) …

Transformation is a full renewal. It’s something that can not be imagined in your now mind as it is a complete rebirth, new era.

Transformation Is Unimaginable

Why?

Because if you can already imagine it then it is still the old version of yourself creating it.

A full transformation is the perishing of the thoughts, desires, wants & narratives.

To those who have yet died to themselves, you can not truly grasp this even as you read this.

Your mind will do its best to conceptualize this as it does God but the mind is a program that only runs on the past knowns unable to grasp the unknown.

Although transforming seems daunting, to those who stay the course of stepping up your stairs of ascending into the “better” version of yourself, you will experience a transforming & possibly many deaths in your own personal life here on earth.

Change is the micro steps that you take that I believe, leads you to your transformation.

Change is the beginning to what becomes the initiation period.

A transformation is a right of passage.

It is not something that everyone will achieve as it requires you to evolve.

Being able to change aspects of yourself is an art, a discipline, a consistent action taken.

It is not something that one chooses lightly but it is something one chooses in the light of things.

Although change is hard, it is possible for people to change & sometimes a little support from those who have transformed on their path can help give encouragement as you treck your path.

Although transformation has been achieved in my own personal journey it doesn’t mean the work ends. It just means that I know where the door is & how to open it.

To those who are looking for a change in your life, I am excited for you as this is the opportunity to really get to know yourself.

To get to know your dark & your light.

Staying focused, disciplined, and leaning into your actions will support the journey.

Aligning your mind with your body.

I suggest to gain clarity on what you currently desire to improve on.

Ask yourself what actions do I need to take & what actions do I need to stop taking to align myself mind, body & Soul.

Declare yourself to this new path and walk.

All your demons will come out when you do & here is where the real work starts.

The real work is overriding those chatters and not falling prey to the old version of you that wants to doubt you, stay comfortable, & that doesn’t want to let go.

The old you that says, “this is too hard” “we cant do this” “another day … XYZ”

This is when the journey becomes a true test & this is when you get to take this test over & over again.

You may get knocked down & that’s okay, just make sure to dust yourself off & start again.

Each time you get back up, you will learn little tricks & things you can do to make the path easier when you start again.

You will get there!

Hope this supports in any small way and cheering you on in this path of self developing for a better version of you.
