Many of us go around analyzing everything we see. From the shoes on someones feet to the photo that someone posted. We are constantly forming thoughts in our mind through our senses. However, are you being judgmental or discerning?
This is a fundamental question that is so crucial to the health of your well being but also to the energy of vibration we are attracting and feeding.
They both seem the same.
What are the differences & how do I know when I am using judgment or discernment?
Thoughts of judgment carry low vibration. They are expressed in anger, fear, doubt, worry , betrayal or anything that comes from the lower feelings. Usually when being judgmental, we are placing something beneath us. We are saying something is less than. Judgmental thoughts are judgments of something or someone. It leaves no room for growth or change. It is a sentencing to death.
Thoughts of discernment are expressed from a heart centered space. Discernment is genuine concern, care, love, trying to understand, analyze the best out come, and all the positive vibrations.
Usually when we are discerning a situation we are not placing anything beneath or above, we are simply viewing if a situation or circumstance is the best choice, outcome, or scenario. If something is for us or does not align with what we choose and our ideas.
Why is this important to know?
This is important to know because most of think in judgement. We have blurred the lines and forgotten what it means to use discernment.
Why is that? I do not have the answer to why it is that our minds go to judgment but for me, when I reflect, I believe that it was a taught behavior. We were taught to look out for ourselves to survive. We were taught to compete. So when we are led to believe that we are here to survive or be a failure, then scarcity, fear, doubt, worry, will be our underlining system that always gets expressed.
However, this does not mean that we can not change the system. We can, we just have to be aware enough to question everything that we do, think, speak, and live.
Being aware of your thought. Asking yourself, is this judgement or discernment.
When we are judging a situation, we are usually playing victim and seek validation through gossiping about it with friends, family, or anyone who will listen. When we are discerning, we never seek validation, instead we seek advise from a friend or family. There is a difference with that energy as well.
Do you see, when we judge, that thought carries its own vibration through a lower field. Because we are truthfully judging, we then seek validation for our judgment. We need to be validated or condemn the situation. So we turn to our friends, family, or social media for that validation. This then carries and continues to breed attack or hate. It is the breeding ground for separation & a judgment that supports the EGO.
When we discern, that thought carries its own vibration through a higher field. We analyze the situation. This allows us to form questions. Why? these questions lead to understanding. Understanding leads us to see from a perspective outside of our own feelings and outside of the jar. It lets us see holistically. This then carries an energy for us to seek ADVICE. Not validation. So we will ask our friends, family, or social media a question and their personal opinions. Then we make a decision on what would be the best outcome. Sometimes we do not even seek advice, sometimes we are able to find the answer on our own, simply by asking the questions to ourselves? This becomes a breeding ground for different opportunities, outcomes, and possibilities.
When we stop using judgment to convict people then we allow for them to find awareness in something they may have not seen themselves. We allow others to have permission to make their own decision to either agree with us or disagree.
When we convict someone through judgment, we shut down any possibility of growth or change.
Be mindful of your thoughts,Ask yourself the question. Am I judging or am I discerning? Am I condemning or am I curious?
